FreeSport Funding for community groups

Do you help to run a community group?  If you do, the latest FreeSport funding round is now open, and you could apply for up to £1,500.

FreeSport is the Mayor of London’s small grants scheme. It enables sports clubs, youth groups and other community organisations to apply for grants to run free sporting activities for Londoners, of all ages and abilities, to encourage more people to take part in sport.

They are especially wanting bids for initiatives that encourage participation from women and girls, disabled people, older people and people from minority ethnic communities, as these groups are typically more likely to be inactive than the general population.

The deadline for applications is noon on the 30th of May 2014.
