On International Women’s Day 8th March 2013, the Mayor of London Boris Johnson will address the conference ‘Nurturing female entrepreneurship through the power of collaboration’ aimed at female entrepreneurs who need help kick-starting or growing a business, as well as inspiration, practical advice and networking opportunities.

The event hosted at City Hall is organized by London Mums, the free and independent peer support group for mums and mumpreneurs based in London, in collaboration with Work Your Way, the small business support group which aims to help freelance and self-employed women maintain a healthy work-life balance as business owners.

Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, said

‘I am immensely proud to be hosting an entrepreneurial event at City Hall to mark International Women’s Day. I hope it will highlight the immeasurable contribution that London women make to our capital.

Entrepreneurship will not only help strengthen our economy but empower women and help them contribute further to society. We need to instil confidence in the next generation of entrepreneurial women and I am positive this event will create a platform for the development of new relationships and collaborations.’

Speakers include Apprentice finalist and successful entrepreneur Claire Young who will share her insights and advice on creating a business vision and more importantly making it happen;
