Working mums take on the Great Wall of China for Charity

Garden designer and mother-of-two, Anthea Harrison, is embarking on a “once in a lifetime trip.” She will be trekking along the Great Wall of China to raise money for Childline and the NSPCC this October.

The career mum aims to raise £5200 for the charities and is doing the nine-day trek with fellow working mum Nicola Maguire. The Work Your Way team likes their style, especially as they are giving something back to the kids!

Anthea said: “Walking the Great Wall of China has been on my must-do list for some time. I have also been a long term supporter of Childline and believe they do an incredibly important job. So I thought it was a great idea to combine the two, and I managed to rope Nicola along as well!”

So far they have raised over £2000 towards their target and they are organising a night of glamour and refinement to help increase the total. A Red Carpet Ball will be held at Bury Lodge in Stansted on July 16th. Tickets are £55 or £450 for a table of 10. To book call Anthea on: 01279 917084.
